This article offers a walkthrough for efficiently managing finished products in the Supplier Management system. You can effortlessly edit or print product specification details for any listed items, and this window also facilitates cross-referencing allergen information. 1. Manage Finished Product
Select "Manage Finished Product" to view any complete products. To filter, you have two options:
- You can utilise the search function by clicking the magnifying glass .
- Or you can use the A-Z filtering system to access existing ingredients.
Tip: There are options to print and edit existing ingredients using the print or edit buttons.
2. View Recipe and Cross Check Allergens
- To view and check allergen information, click the checklist button .
- This allows you to cross reference allergens listed in the risk assessment and view the overall recipe for the finished product.
- Review the finished product ingredients list.
- There is an editable ingredients list if anything additional needs including.
Note: Quantitative Ingredient Declaration (QUID) is an indication of how much of the finished product is made up of a certain ingredient. Typically expressed as a percentage.
2. Copy Existing Product
- To copy an existing ingredient, select the "Copy Existing Product" button.
- A pop-up window will open, allowing you to replicate specification details from an existing ingredient.
- Choose the From Finished Product and its respective Item Code.
- Next, specify the To Finished Product and its corresponding Item Code.
- Once these selections are complete, click the Copy button to proceed.
Note: Please note that the system will replicate both the recipe and the answers. It's your responsibility to modify the answers and recipe in the copied specification if they differ from your requirements.
- A final window will appear for you to Confirm.
Important: All information except the allergen information will be copied. Please answer the allergen information in the copied specification.
3. Add a New Finished Product
- To introduce a new ingredient, use the "Add New Finished Product" button.
- A pop-up window will open, allowing you to add specification details for a new finished product.
- Choose the Product Name and its respective Item Code.
- Once these selections are complete, click the Next button to proceed.
Note: There is an option to add a new product in this window, see Adding a New Product for more information.
- An "Ingredient(s) Used" window will appear with the Manufacturer Raw Material Name and Code auto-populated.
- Add, edit, or delete ingredients used and their quantities.
- Click Save and Proceed to Master answering screen.
