Downloading Archived Specifications
Who is this article for?Users who need to update supplier information.
Supplier Specification access isrequired.
An archived specification includes details of a specific product, ingredient, or packaging component at a particular point in time. The specification was likely archived as a newer version of the specification exists (e.g. if the specification itself has changed).
Archived specifications are still available within the system and can be referenced at any time.
This article outlines how to access and download archived specifications. The article is split into the following sections:
1. About Archived Specifications
As archived specifications include details of a product, ingredient or packaging component from a set period of time then it may be necessary to review the information and compare it to a new specification.
These specifications typically include information about the product's composition, quality standards, allergen data, physical and chemical attributes, and other relevant details.
Archived specifications serve as a historical record, allowing manufacturers to reference past specifications for quality control, product consistency, regulatory compliance, and traceability purposes.
They are particularly valuable when changes occur in product formulations or when quality standards need to be compared over time. These records help maintain product consistency, aid in quality assurance, and facilitate compliance with industry regulations.
