Adding and Managing Levels 1-3

Categorising using levels is a hierarchical approach that helps organise and manage products within the food industry based on their characteristics and attributes. This system allows for a structured classification, making it easier to navigate and locate specific products, ensuring that they are appropriately labelled and monitored for quality, safety, and compliance. It also aids in inventory management and provides a clear understanding of product relationships and attributes within the industry.
1. Filtering by Levels
To filter by levels, select the icon above the list. You will see a pop-up where you can select up to three levels to filter by.
Clicking Submit will refresh the page and display only the suppliers mapped to these levels.
2. Managing Level 1
- Select the "Managing Level 1" tab.
- There are two options in this window, Edit or Add Level 1.
- To edit an existing Level 1, select the Edit button .
- Enter a description and select a supplier.
- Click Save.
- To add a new level 1, select Add Level 1 on the main page.
- A blank set of fields will appear.
- Enter a description and supplier name.
- Select Save.
- Your new Level 1 should appear in the main list.
3. Managing Level 2
- Select the "Managing Level 2" tab.
- There are two options in this window, Edit or Add Level 2.
Note: In Level 2, you can filter by Level 1.
- To edit an existing Level 2, select the Edit button .
- Select a Level 1, Edit Level 2 and Supplier.
- Click Save.
- To add a new level 2, select Add Level 2 on the main page.
- A blank set of fields will appear.
- Select a Level 1 and Enter Level 2.
- Click Save.
- Your new Level 2 should appear in the main list.
4. Managing Level 3
- Select the "Managing Level 3" tab.
- There are two options in this window, Edit or Add Level 3.
- To edit an existing Level, select the Edit button .
- Select a Level 1, Level 2, Edit Level 3 and a Supplier.
- Click Save.
- To add a new level 3, select Add Level 3 on the main page.
- A blank set of fields will appear.
- Select a Level 1, Level 2, Enter Level 3 and Supplier.
- Click Save.
- Your new Level 3 should appear in the main list.
