Adding and Copying Ingredients

This article provides a step-by-step guide on effectively managing ingredients within the Supplier Management system. You can easily access, edit, or print product specification details for any listed items. More information is available below for your reference.
1. Manage Ingredients
Select "Manage Ingredients" to view ingredients you've created. To filter, you have two options:
- You can utilise the search function by clicking the magnifying glass .
- Or you can use the A-Z filtering system to access existing ingredients.
Tip: There are options to print and edit existing ingredients using the print or edit buttons.
2. Copy an Existing Ingredient
- To copy an existing ingredient, select the "Copy Existing Ingredient" button.
- A pop-up window will open, allowing you to replicate specification details from an existing ingredient.
- Choose the From Packaging and its respective Item Code.
- Next, specify the To Packaging and its corresponding Item Code.
- Once these selections are complete, click the Copy button to proceed.
Note: Please note that the system will replicate both the recipe and the answers. It's your responsibility to modify the answers and recipe in the copied specification if they differ from your requirements.
- A final window will appear for you to Confirm.
Important: All information except the allergen information will be copied. Please answer the allergen information in the copied specification.
3. Add a New Ingredient
- To introduce a new ingredient, use the "Add New Ingredient" button.
- A pop-up window will open, allowing you to add specification details for a new ingredient.
- Choose the Ingredient Name and its respective Item Code.
- If the raw material lacks a completed specification and you wish to request one, select Yes to Request Specification From Supplier box and then select the supplier from the provided dropdown menu.
- Once these selections are complete, click the Next button to proceed.
Note: There is an option to add a new product in this window, see Adding a New Product for more information.
- Add in the Requested Specification Details.
- Click Request.
